Apollo Frequency

Apollo Frequency Gameplay
Apollo Frequency is essentially a fun audio visualizer. This game takes any ".ogg" sound file as input, reads it, and creates a unique obstacle routine depending on the track.

I did not create any of the songs that are showcased in the game, they are actually all obtained from sound files I had saved in my computer.
This game fundamentally has an infinite amount of levels since every song will generate a different pattern and difficulty.

Project Run

Project Run Gameplay
Project Run was my first university-level project. This game was developed by myself in the span of one week, and all I knew was that there was this one song that I was hooked on for a long time and I wanted to pay some tribute to it.

Essentially this project is a very complex alarm system. What is happening behind the scenes is that everything is being triggered by preset timers, yeah, I had to play the song over 200 times and score exactly what parts I wanted to see something happen. Nowadays I know a lot more than what I used to back then, but looking back at this project I'm so proud of all the dedication and the outcome that came because of it.

Little did I know this project would then go and influence many of my future endeavors.

Sashimi Slammers Trailer #1
Sashimi Slammers
Sashimi Slammers was one of the first projects where I experimented with alternative controllers. With the help of my peers we were able to pull this game off in less than an academic quarter and get into multiple video game festivals.

This project is in its core a burlesque representation of fighting games such as Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter, but instead of playing as heroic characters the players take on the roles of fish fighting for survival inside a restaurant.

This project has a special place in my heart thanks to the incredible people that I collaborated with to make it happen.
